GUIDELINES FOR USE OF THE SPACE

Air quality
This is a non-smoking space.
In deference to individuals with allergies, we request that you refrain from excessive use of scented candles, incense, smudges, aromatherapy oils, perfume, and so on.

Candles
When using candles, please use extreme care: Candles should be lit only when there is someone present in the room. Make sure candles are in a glass container to prevent spilling hot wax, and, if possible, place the container on a saucer (a cloth mat does not protect the surface underneath from hot wax). Please be careful when moving a candle that has just been extinguished -- it takes time for the pool of melted wax to cool and harden. Take extra care with pillar candles; place them on a platter or tray for stability.

Noise
Because we are located near other businesses, the space is not suitable for prolonged loud drumming, amplified music, screaming, stomping, or heavy-footed dancing or jumping. Loud activities in our group space are acceptable only on Sundays.

Children
Children may not be left unattended at any time. Each practitioner is responsible for enforcing this rule with their clients or class participants.

Networking area
Flyers, brochures, and business cards must be approved by Edith before being displayed.

"Leave it as you find it or better"
Renters are responsible for maintaining their offices and the shared spaces in a clean, orderly condition. If your activities generate significant trash, you are responsible for taking it away. Please report any dirt or untidiness left by a previous user. If you moved furniture around for your use, please restore it to its original arrangement.

Closing up
The last person to leave is responsible for turning off lights, turning down the heat or turning off the AC, and locking up. We have a laminated instruction sheet to help you attend to all the closing-up tasks.

Room #1 (first on left on ground floor)
Suitable for psychotherapy, energy healing, bodywork
$10 / hour, 2-hour minimum
$85 / month for one block a week (morning until 2 pm, or 3 pm on)
$160 / month for one full day a week
$275 / month for two full days a week
$375 / month for three full days a week

Room #2, "Middle Room" (on ground floor)
Suitable for psychotherapy

Room #3, "Downstairs Treatment Room" (on ground floor)
Suitable for energy healing and bodywork
$10 / hour, 2-hour minimum
$85 / month for one block a week (morning until 2 pm, or 3 pm on)
$160 / month for one full day a week
$275 / month for two full days a week
$375 / month for three full days a week

Room #4, "Upstairs Treatment Room" (on second floor)
Suitable for psychotherapy, energy healing, bodywork
$10 / hour, 2-hour minimum

GROUP SPACE

This space may be rented for occasional workshops or for ongoing uses such as a weekly or monthly class or seminar. The space measures approximately 18' X 24'. Rates are as follows:

(a) Occasional use:
$25 per 2-hour block
$33 per 3-hour block
$10 per hour for 4 or more hours in a day

(b) Ongoing use:
$100 / month for 2 hours a week
$130 / month for 3 hours a week
$150 / month for 4 hours a week
$250 / month for one day a week

RENTAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
For one-time or occasional rentals for workshops and groups

Initial interview
A personal interview and building tour are required before a rental contract can be signed. The following documents (or an equivalent) must be provided to us at or before the interview:
Resume
Evidence of professional qualifications
Syllabus or description of proposed workshop
Two or more references (including phone numbers)

Professionalism
In the best interests of all who work at Karendyth, we require our teachers/practitioners to observe high standards of ethical and professional conduct and to be considerate of clients' well-being at all times.

Insurance
All therapists or holistic practitioners who rent space with us must carry their own malpractice insurance. We will require a photocopy of your insurance policy for our files.

Payment due
For workshops and group uses, a deposit of 50% of rent is due at the time the space is booked, and payment in full is due on or before the day the class or workshop starts.

Refund policy
A full refund of the deposit will be given if cancellation occurs more than one month ahead.
50% of the deposit will be refunded for cancellations one week or more ahead.
No refunds for cancellations less than one week ahead.

Termination
We reserve the right to terminate any agreement without a refund, if our rental policies are not followed.

"Overtime" hours
If you rent by the block and occasionally need additional time, the hourly rate for the extra time will be $10 / hour and the use will depend on space availability. Extra hours must be requested in advance.

We reserve the right to terminate any agreement without a refund, if our rental policies are not followed.
